Portofino Botanical Spirit: Light Edition is a distinctive interpretation of the botanical world of Portofino, created for those seeking a lighter drinking experience without giving up quality, aromatic complexity or Mediterranean character. Born from the same artisanal tradition as Portofino Dry Gin, it is crafted at 20% ABV – approximately half the alcohol content of a traditional gin.

THE SEA TAKES CENTRE STAGE

The Mediterranean Sea is the inspiration behind Portofino Botanical Spirit – not merely as the backdrop of the Ligurian Riviera, but as an essential part of the recipe itself. At its heart are vacuum-distilled seaweed and water from the Italian Mediterranean Sea, surrounded by 25 carefully selected botanicals inspired by the scents of the Ligurian coast. These include juniper, lemon, lavender, thyme, hyssop, achillea, iris and mint.

The result is a fresh, savoury and distinctly Mediterranean profile. Marine and subtly saline notes meet aromatic herbs, vibrant citrus and delicate floral nuances, creating a spirit that is complex yet remarkably light and refreshing.

The most delicate plants used in Portofino Botanical Spirit are processed fresh through slow vacuum distillation at low temperatures, helping preserve their aromatic integrity and capture the vibrant freshness of Mediterranean vegetation.
